CES will host its annual Title I meeting on September 28 and 29 this year! You can see identical presentation on either 28 at 9am or Sept 29 at 5:30pm. Both meetings will be held at a Flora-Monroe Township Public Llibrary in Flora, in the community meeting room downstairs. Update: we have had requests to live stream the ISP presentation tonight. While we can and will live stream it via FB, but due to restrictions we will not be able to save the video, so those who wish to see it must tune in in real time.


Miss Cathie from the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children task force visited third thru sixth grade students today to discuss being cyber smart! Parents are invited to hear her speak tonight from 6:00-7:00.



CCSC is seeking to hire a 1:1 Support Specialist. The 1:1 Support Specialist is responsible for management/troubleshooting/repair related to a fleet
of technology devices, currently Google Chromebooks. Additionally, the 1:1 Support Specialist oversees the day-to-day operations of student technology support. It takes more than just teachers to make our corporation run smoothly! We are fortunate to have Mr. Travis Bean ensuring our buses are safely maintained! He does it all, even changing flashing fog lights out on a marvelous Monday morning!

Reminder: September 1st the Indiana State Police will be presenting to students and parents on the topic of online safety. This should be must see for all parents of children old enough to be using online technology independently!

You have trash, PTO has bags! Today is the start of our annual trash bag fundraiser! Our goal is for everyone to sell one roll! PTO funds are used to support student activities such as field trips and one school one book trivia prizes, along with classroom supplies.
Students can earn Cougar Paws and cash prizes! The top seller will win $100 and the top selling class will earn a special prize!
Students will bring home their order forms today, and can sell through September 6.


Always fun when you are visiting the Indiana FFA Pavillion at the Indiana State Fair and one of our own Carroll Cougars is featured inside. Congratulations Cason and all our FFA members on your hard work!



Parents mark your calendars: September 1st at 6pm the Indiana State Police and CCSC will host an evening presentation that will open your eyes to the potential perils of student internet and online usage when caring adults fail to give proper oversight. Topics include social media use and internet dangers. Students in grades 3-8 will hear a similar presentation during the school day. This is a powerful presentation and one that every parent should hear!


Each year we kickoff our Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program with dress up days! This year Cougar P.R.I.D.E. (be Prepared and Responsible, take Initiative, always Do your best, strive for Excellence) Week is August 29-September 2nd. All students are invited to participate!


NWEA is underway! MapGrowth (NWEA) testing is done for every student 3 times a year! Students complete map benchmark assessments in math and reading. The data is then used to gauge student progress and form Title I remediation groups. Parents can always request a copy of results, and find them in PowerSchool once the district testing window is complete in October!




Sarina Herron (normally Bus 21) will be running late this morning. At this time, we are estimating she will be 15 min. behind schedule.


5th/6th Grade Cross Country practice starts Monday. Practice will be from 3:30-5:00, and students should meet at the XC pavilion!
