Alexander “Xander” Thomas Majors, 15 years old, of Bringhurst, unexpectedly passed away Saturday June 6, 2026. He was born in Lafayette, IN, on July 17, 2010, the son of David Benjamin and Danielle Lynn (Bartels) Majors.

Xander completed his sophomore year at Carroll Jr – Sr High School. He completed the year in the top 10 of his graduating class in academics. He was an incredible musician who spent countless hours playing his trombone and composing music for his fellow band members. He memorized every line he played and was passionate about helping others love music as much as he did. He ran cross country and track, reluctantly at first but he later learned to love running. Xander was a member of the Burlington Church of Christ and was active in their youth program. He was baptized at age 8 and truly knew Jesus. He committed his entire self to following Christ. He attended the Ark Christian Ministries in Converse several times.

Xander treasured his time with his friends and cousins. He was a deep thinker, a deep feeler, and the master of knowing random facts and asking tough questions. You could always count on him for a sarcastic comeback or ridiculous pun. He recently spoke about plans of attending Purdue University so he could play in their marching band and work to become a lawyer.

Xander is survived by his mother, Danielle Majors; brother, Luke Baker; paternal grandmother, Bonnie Majors; maternal grandparents, Lori and Dolan Bartels; aunts and uncles, Chris (Sherrie) Lacy, Abe (Pam) Majors, Nora Majors, Clinton (Lluvia) Bartels; cousins, Josiah, MaKenzie, Toby, Oliver, Isaac, Morgan, Alina, Ryan “Max”, and James.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Benjamin “Ben” Majors; grandfather, William Larry Majors; paternal great-grandparents, maternal great-grandparents; and cousin, Isabella Christine Majors.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3 pm to 7 pm Monday June 15, 2026, at the Carroll High School – Fieldhouse. Please enter through door #10, 2362 E. State Road – 18, Flora, IN 46929. A funeral service celebrating his and Ben’s life will begin at Noon Tuesday June 16, 2026, in the Carroll High School – Auditorium. Please enter through the main gym entrance door #3. Pastor Dave Osborne will officiate the services. A link will be available at the bottom of Xander’s obituary page to view the funeral service live at Noon on Tuesday. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Xander’s name to the Burlington Church of Christ or to the Ark Christian Ministries in Converse, IN.
